week two!

still at training camp… but SO much has happened, let me catch you up!

• we had our official commitment night!!! got all dressed up and shared a sweet night of worship, prayer, and communion together.
• meet my squad & team! i love them.
  
• and a fun picture from SQUAD WARS! painted my face yellow, had a dance battle, and played lots of games!

• this week, i got asked to be a part of the “beauty for ashes” team alongside three other girls from my squad! beauty for ashes is a women’s ministry that we will partner with to lead retreats, lessons, and events for women in the countries we’ll be ministering to! we started training for it this week and already it has been a blessing and i couldn’t be more excited to see how the lord works through it!
• we had a prayer burn! which means that i stayed up almost all night long covering the campus in prayer, worshipping and reading scripture. honestly going into it i was worried about losing sleep but it was incredible. i felt so full and overwhelmed with peace. the rest i had in the lord was more than enough!
• on a lighter note we got to go back into civilization yesterday! here’s a picture of us smiling big that we got to go on a little shopping trip! we got some much needed snacks, starbucks, and a few necessities but mostly snacks…
• on friday we had the opportunity to go into downtown gainesville and spread the gospel! whether we were absolutely shut down by someone whose heart was hardened to jesus or were talking to a believer who was so excited to hear what we were doing and be prayed over or sharing the good news with someone who had never heard it, it was the coolest thing. me and a few friends ended up sitting with this homeless man for over an hour. he was just so happy to have someone listen to him talk, we learned so much about his story and past, got to pray healing over his legs and share with him the hope that we have in jesus even in such a broken world.
• and last but not least… I GOT BAPTIZED!
• thank you jesus! i’m raised to life again. i was baptized once when i was younger but have been feeling called for almost a year to fully surrender my life to christ again through baptism. it was the most beautiful experience and the joy of the lord was so evident. i could not stop smiling. god is just so good i’ll never get over it.
